How do you fit in with a new school? Who and where do I sit at lunch? Can anybody help me get to my next class?

These are all questions I asked myself my first day at school trust me. For all you new students out there this one is for us.

As I began my first day at a new school, I felt like I was in an elementary school all over again.  -Trying to find all my classes was a pain, but so far my opinion of Legacy is a good one. It’s busy, crowded, and full of spirit and drama free. The student body here seems so nice and friendly as well staff faculty.

After leaving my anatomy class, I was invited by Noah Carpenter and Dillon Ford to sit with them at lunch. This is high school, everyone sits with somebody. Being here at a new school, my biggest fear was that everyone would look at me as a circus freak.

They were willing to show me how to get to all my classes despite it being crowded and hectic in the halls. I’m starting to realize it’s always like this.

I can safely say all my teachers rock. Well so far at least.  I feel that I am going to enjoy my junior and senior year here at Legacy. I can’t believe I am saying this, but leaving my home town of 16 years was the best thing I could have ever done so far in my life.

What I look forward to at my new journey though here at Legacy is to meet and fit in with a bunch of great people, make awesome friendships, keep up with my work this year in all my classes, an hopefully find a lunch line that best suites me this year. Hopefully I’ll accomplish all these great goals I’ve set for myself plus more to come.

After attending my first football game I was excited to show school spirit and accept my Legacy colors.

When I got home, my friends from Checotah Oklahoma called and told me that they had won their first game. I told them we had a game that night and won as well. They asked me, “Well what are you now?”
I proudly told them, “I’m a Bronco.”

Ha, yeah I remember my first days at Legacy too. In fact, it was this year, 2009. I had just moved from Wylie, Texas to Mansfield, Texas over spring break. It was scarry starting a new school but I made alot of new friends. (:
