Review: Furious 7

Kids and adults alike filled the seats with popcorn in hand waiting for the lights to dim and the engines to start. Furious 7 stands as the seventh installment in the Fast and Furious movie franchise. Returning actors, such as Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Paul Walker, appear on the screen for the opening date of April 3.

It starts out with a gritty opening, as expected with the Fast and Furious series. All throughout the movie, you’re kept on the edge of your seat with this heart pounding action. The fight scenes leave you as if you were the one being smacked in the face. Stunts are crazy but the graphics make them seem as if they were possible, which they totally wouldn’t be! There’s also high speed car chases and parkour. The movie title says it all.

One thing I found to be really impressive was the soundtrack. The songs were up to date and fit every scene perfectly. One song was done by the famous rap artist Wiz Khalifa. A surprise rap artist (no spoilers), who isn’t just a song in the background, premieres in the beginning. The artist has one line, very impressively done for their first major movie.

Furious 7 isn’t just about the epic action but humor too. Dwayne Johnson and Ludacris added a lot of humor to the movie and they never fail to make you laugh. There was an array of genres for everyone: romance, comedy, suspense, action and maybe a little sci-fi. There was very advanced technology that doesn’t exist yet.

Let’s not forget the biggest theme in the entire movie series: cars. The series never disappoints when it comes to this subject; they always have the most exotic cars. A wide variety of cars were used, including old-fashioned, new and rare. My favorite though was the cherry red Lykan Hypersport. All of the cars were beautiful and, at some point or another, smashed. I can’t describe them as anything other than fast and furious.

I would give this movie a perfect score. It had the most amazing actors and layout. Paul Walker passed away during production, but Cody Walker finished the movie in memory of his brother. Paul Walker did a beautiful job with this role. Truly an amazing last performance. I recommend this movie to everyone. It’s worth every second and every penny.
