Ah journalism, or should I say, yearbook; I’m going to really miss it. Seeing the new friends I’ve made and coming to room E-O102 isn’t going to be an every day thing for me anymore. There have been some great times, and some really stressful times, in yearbook class.

I have made so many memories this year; like the second week of school when Mallett hooked up his speakers to his iPod and we did the Macarena and then the Y.M.C.A.

Also, the time that Jordan Schwarz, Megan Henry and I went to get an interview and Jordan and I made up our “upper body” move.

However, I must say that my favorite moment this year, in yearbook, didn’t happen in the yearbook room; but with yearbook people. When the yearbook was done, Myranda Joiner, Katie Trent and I went to Mrs. Gents room during lunch and Katie and I decided to play cards. We couldn’t decide what to play so we said random card games and decided on Speed. She beat me a few times and I beat her once or twice and then I gave up on playing so, we played a different game. She wanted to teach me how to play Kings In A Corner; it was difficult for me, to say the least. I enjoyed the game after I got the hang of the rules but then I looked at the clock and we only had about ten minutes left so, we decided to play another game.

Go Fish was the game of choice and I felt like I was going to beast it out and win; that didn’t happen. After Katie had shuffled and dealt the cards between us we took out the pairs and put our cards in order. She said, “Rindi, you start,” so I did; that was when it became my favorite moment. “Do you have the ace of clubs?,” I asked. “Um, no?,” Katie said. “Why are you looking at me like that, and laughing?,” I asked, again. “There’s only ONE ace of clubs Rindi,” Katie and Myranda said while they continued to laugh at me. It was the funniest moment in yearbook yet and I will always remember it.

I’m going to miss Katie and Myranda, but I know we’ll hang out over summer and throughout the holiday breaks because yearbook would be nothing without them and they’ve made my senior year one of the best just because of that moment; and many others, of course.
