The final Deadline is here. Thursday, Dec. 17 is the last chance to purchase a yearbook.  No extra books will be ordered.

Last year 100 people were on the waiting list and never got a book because they didn’t pre-order. Purchase by going to the journalism room, EO102, or online at www.smart-pay.com.

The Arena has a classy professional look this year, rather than last year’s scrapbook style, and is 32 pages longer. The book also comes with a DVD supplement and after March it will be online.

“Buying a year book is a great way to remember your high school years,” Ashley Deam said. “And everyone should do it.”

The journalism department has only sold 750 books and would like to sell 1,400. They have made Tie-dye shirts, stickers, and posters to get the attention and support of the student body.

“In the past two years, our sales have spiked on the deadline day,” Yearbook Adviser Leland Mallett said. “I hope it’s the same way this year.”

This year The Arena yearbook will include “Yearbook Plus” pages which allow student organizations to make personalized pages.

“It’s really a great deal,” Mr. Mallett said. “Students can log in to a website and create pages from their own photos.”

Once the pages are created, the yearbook staff will deliver created pages 5-10 days after the online submission.

“Yearbooks are changing, and I’m glad Taylor Publishing has allowed us to be on the cutting edge by testing their new technology,” Mr. Mallett said.
