The Magnablend chemical plant in Waxahachie caught fire on Monday, Oct. 3, spilling black smoke into the air and sending polluted runoff into drainage ditches. The area was evacuated until the risk of dangerous pollutants in the air was cleared by the Environmental Protection Agency.
