You may know her by her more than interesting cleats, but this varsity soccer star is chasing her dreams.

Maicee Brinkman contributed more than just interesting cleats to the girl’s varsity soccer team’s second-team all-district run. Her skill at left defender and fun-loving nature were a big part of the team’s success.

“I play with my right foot so it’s a little hard, but its fun. I love being like ha-ha, you can’t get past me,” Brinkman said.

Maicee also won an award for participation on varsity and she also lettered as a freshman.

“When I won the awards, I was just really happy and I couldn’t stop smiling,” she said.

Being on the team had only advantages for her.

“I met a lot of nice people, became a better soccer player, and a better person. I know my teammates have my back no matter what.”
