MISD Press Release: Off-Campus Shooting Near Legacy HS

The Mansfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred directly across the street from Mansfield Legacy HS late Thursday night. According to Mansfield PD, the incident took place at approximately 11:00 PM at a fast food restaurant located at 1221 FM 157.

The victim of the shooting was a former Legacy High School student, Myles Rascon. On Friday, April 13, the Legacy HS administrative team made counselors available to any students who needed assistance. No general announcement was made to Legacy HS students since the incident did not involve immediate families, occurred off campus and happened after school hours.
