Try eating a snow cone to cure your sweet tooth or cool down on a hot day.

As we progress through this summer and the infamous Texas heat, some of us could use a few places to cool down. A nice cold snow cone has become a favorite snack amongst Americans to help fight off the summer heat. Below you will find a few of the best places to get this frozen treat.

Bahama Bucks

This place has been known for its wide variety of options. They offer simple flavors such as Blue Raspberry and Strawberry as well as unique flavors like Juicy Froot and Sugar Cookie. Not only does Bahama Bucks serve “Sno Creations,” but they also offer Smoothies, Bahama Sodas, Frozen Lemonade and Limeade, “Paradise Fruit,” Island Warmers, Coffee and “Frostalattes.” Take a look at their long list of options here.

Kona Ice

If you want to throw a party and serve great Snow Cones, Kona Ice will do just that. With flavors like Salted Caramel, Red Hot and even a Mystery Flavor, you and your company will never get too bored with Kona Ice. Look into booking one of their trucks for a party or event here.

Aunt Stelle’s

Among the locals, Aunt Stelle’s has been a favorite for more than 50 years. Located in Oak Cliff, this small Sno Cone shop opens on the last weekend in April through Labor Day, but only serves on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The owners live just two doors down from the shop and serve classic flavors such as the Pink Lady and Root Beer.

Tastee Ice

Also a favorite among the locals, Tastee Ice serves signature snow cones such as “The Plunge,” a snow cone with ice cream in the middle, and “The Piccadilly,” a snow cone with chopped pickles and kool-aid sprinkled on top. Not only do they have a location in Arlington, but also in Grand Prairie, Irving and Desoto.

Roadside Huts/Trailers

Aside from these specific options, keep your eyes out for hidden snow cone huts around you when out driving on a hot day. Try a few out and maybe you will be able to find your new favorite snow cone place.

Make Your Own

Another alternative to these options would be to make your own snow cones. Not only will buying a snow cone maker be a great investment, the process of making the snow cones with friends or family can create great memories that last a lifetime.

I eat a lot of ice cream, so please buy me a pint of Ben & Jerry's. When I'm not stressing over Newspaper related things, I like to listen to music, read, write or chill out and watch Netflix until three in the morning.
