As sophomore Ryan Hill walks up to the plate, he tries to stay as focused as possible. The crowd yelling his name, the pitcher digging his cleats in the mound, so many things are going on around him, but he must relax. The pitch is thrown and Hill makes contact. A run scores and the Broncos win.

“The fans have contributed by just being there and supporting us,” Hill said. “The key moment was when we defeated Summit and Waxahachie after we had previously lost to them.”

Q: Did the Legacy Varsity Baseball team make it to playoffs?
A: Yes, the Broncos advance to playoffs along with Waxahachie, Ennis and Summit.

Q: How does a team make it to playoffs?
A: In order to make it to playoffs, a team must be in the top four in their district.

Q: What is our record this season?
A: This season, the Broncos are 9-4.

Q: How long do playoffs last?
A: Playoffs typically last until June. The state tournament takes place on June 10-13.

Q: If we lose once in the playoffs are we out?
A: Not necessarily, coaches decide on either a three game series or a single game.

Q: Who do we play first in the playoffs?
A: Our first opponent in the playoffs is Mexia on May 6 at 7 p.m.

Q: Where can I find the full bracket of the playoffs?
A: The full bracket can be accessed on MaxPreps.

Q: How many rounds would Legacy have to win in order to make it to State?
A: The Broncos would need to win 5 rounds in order to make it to the state tournament.

Q: What seed are the Broncos in for playoffs?
A: There was a tie between Legacy and Ennis for second seed. In order to find out who would get the second seed, a tie breaker game ensued. Legacy lost 4-6 and took the third seed. Summit took first seed, Ennis second, and Waxahachie took the fourth seed.
