If sophomores didn’t read “Things Fall Apart” in Advanced English 2 classes, they wouldn’t make traditional African masks to demonstrate the themes of the book. Memorable projects completed sophomore year includecd reading about the tragic hero Okonkwo. “I felt like this book was very interesting and nothing like I’d ever read before and definitely wouldn’t have picked up if it weren’t for this class,” Annalise White, 10, said. “My favorite part of the project was giving the mask lots of meaning from the book and it allowed us to be creative.” “Things Fall Apart” teaches about the consequences...

Preview Another March brings sports fans favorite time of year around with the NCAA March Madness tournament. Even for those who aren’t deeply invested in college basketball, filling out a bracket is an exhilarating and immersive experience. I love March Madness and the narratives that play out throughout the tournament. As recently as last year, we witnessed a 16-seed FDU beating number one Purdue with nine-seed FAU reaching the final four.
