7 Reasons You Should Join FFA

7+Reasons+You+Should+Join+FFA

As a kid, you would go to the zoo and want all of the animals there. Now your wish can finally come true. Here goes a list of the top 7 reasons you should join the Future Farmers of America.

It Teaches You Responsibility

You learn responsibility while taking care of your plants or animals. Responsibility will always be the most important and it can start to rub off on your schoolwork and house chores.

The Animals are Adorable

You name it, we probably have it. A few of the favorites include goats, lambs, chickens, cows and pigs. All of them are so adorable.

It’s Fun

Joining the FFA brings new experiences, a second family and fun. It all makes you feel so happy and at home. People in the barn teaches you a lot about teamwork and helping others. When asked to feed someone else’s animal you do it because they would most likely do the same for you.

Stock Shows are Exciting

Breathing in the early morning air fills you up with confidence and gives you hope for the day. While stock shows get pretty competitive they make you excited to dwell in the experience. Not only do you get to show off your hard work in your animal, you get bragging rights if you end up in first place.

It Gives You Something to Do

Do you sit at home bored a lot? Well, if you join the FFA you have a lot to do, so you will not get bored. It takes up a lot of your time and effort, but the hard work is so worth it in the end.

Scholarships

You get the opportunity to learn all sorts of scholarships in shows and jackpots. The Mansfield FFA gave out over two million dollars in scholarship money to members competing in the fair, stock show, rodeo and even in the small jackpots.

Learning New Skills

In this organization you learn so many new things about taking care of animals or something dependent on you. It teaches you how to meet this animals expectations to keep it healthy and well maintained. From things like feeding and bathing to the most simple things like walking with you instead of running ahead or staying behind. It shows you new things that you may need in the future.
